Traditionally known as the cottage pie, the Shepard’s pie has been around for nearly two centuries, when potatoes became more accessible for the poor. The original ingredients for the Shepard’s pie are any kind of roasted meat baked in a pie made from mashed potatoes. This is a delicious dish and mainly made in the winter period, but many may find it a bit heavy to consume. So, the vegetarian version was created.
